The Nutcracker

Last night I went with Suzy and some of her friends down to the Capital Theater in SLC to watch the ballet The Nutcracker! What an amazing performance! It was awesome. I bought season tickets this year down to the ballet and I'm so glad I did. The last one we went to was Mid Summers Night Dream, then this time was The Nutcracker, and the next one is Swan Lake. What a great season to buy them! I'm so glad I did, and it's great to spend time with Suzy! I had so much fun. We went down early and went and ate at The Cheesecake Factory which is so YUMMY! Then we went to Burlington Coat Factory to do some Christmas shopping. I had no idea that they had anything other then coats, but oh my did they ever! It had more baby stuff then I have ever seen! They had the cutest stuff! We saw some of the cutest crib sets from Eddie Bauer, it is the ultimate baby spot for shopping! We got some fun stuff for baby Deegan! Here are some pictures from the Nutcracker.

Fun, fun, and more fun!

Well the last couple of weeks has been full of adventures! Nail class is going awesome! We learned acrylic nails last week and now that's all we do and I love it, I think this next week we will be learning Gel Nails. I'm always looking for models (Felicea I know your laughing right now), I definatly need a lot of practice, but I get better each time I do them. My sister came over today and we did some cute Christmas nails on her, but it took 3 hours, so hopefully I will eventually get faster. Now that it snowed it isn't going to be that fun driving through the canyon everyday. I worry about Steve now because he has to drive through the canyon every day as well. Well last Saturday my good friend Jesika and her husband Lane came through town, they moved so I haven't seen her forever! It was so good to see her, we went and ate at Costa Vida, which is always so yummy. Amy and I definatly need to plan a trip to go and see them!

Then last night we went with Chris and Jen Maddern to Settebello's Pizzeria in Salt Lake before the Jazz game against the Pacers. It was such a fun night!

After that we were driving home and decided to see if we could get in to see the lights at Temple Square, we drove by and they were open, so we parked and walked to the gate, and they had closed at 10pm right before we got there, we kind of thought they closed at 10 but we thought we'd risk it. This year has been freezing outside with little snow. But we did have snow today! So we might have a white Christmas after all. Steve was so excited! He can't wait to go snowboarding. It's golf in the summer, snowboarding in the winter and basketball all year round! We still haven't gotten any Christmas shopping done, I get a good break from school for Chirstmas, so hopefull I can get some done then.
We finally got our TV for our kitchen, we got a 19" Vizio, I don't know how nice it is because we haven't got it working yet, but I'm sure it's good, we had a Vizio when we were in Texas and we really liked it. Also I had made these decorations from some old window's that I got from my Aunt Cloie, and we have had them leaning up against our wall forever because I didn't want to hang them until we had our TV to measer them by. But we got our TV so now we finally got our wall in our kitchen put togther. Here is a picture with what our wall looks like then I did up close pictures of the windows. I think they look really cute there after all!

Well that's all that's been happening here! Hope all is well!

Happy Thanksgiving

I have never really liked Thanksgiving in the past, mostly because everyone gets around eats, eats and eats more, then sleeps all day, but the main reason I didn't like it was because I have never liked the food on Thanksgiving. I have a big texture problem, so I don't like mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, pie, anything that has that soft texture. Pretty much everything you eat on Thanksgiving has that texture. But I love Thanksgiving at the same time. I love that you get together with the ones you love most and you have a day that you really recognize all that you are thankful for. I had a great Thanksgiving this year, we spent it with Steve's side of the family, which was awesome! Suzy had prepared the best dinner, and I got so full! I had a lot of turkey, rolls, and salad! YUM! We had the whole family there except Eric and Brooke. Baby Deegan is still to young to go out of the house, so Brooke stayed home and her family had Thanksgiving there this year. Eric had to work so he wasn't there either. But the rest of the family was, even Grandma Norman. After we ate, Suzy and I took Grandma Norman back home, and on the way we stopped and saw Brooke and Deegan! This was the first time I had seen him, Steve wasn't very happy with me because he still hasn't seen him. Steve has had a bad cold ever since Deegan was born, and since Deegan is so susceptible to things, Steve hasn't dared go around him. But I couldn't wait any longer! And I'm sure glad I didn't, he is so adorable and the cutest little addition to their family! He will fit in perfectly. I missed seeing my family for Thanksgiving and it was different to not see them this year, it was the first Thanksgiving I've had to go with out seeing them, but I had great company to be with this year and loved every second.

I am so thankful for the blessing of Family, with out family I don't know where I would be today. They offer so much support and love when ever it is needed. I love that I have had my families support my whole 20 years of life, and so thankful that now I have a second family to love and support us as well. I couldn't have asked for a better family. I am so thankful for my husband Steve. I love him more then words can say, and I wouldn't trade anything for every minute I get to spend with him. I'm so thankful for all he does for us as a little family and how hard we works to support us. I don't know where I would be without him. But most of all I'm thankful for the atonement and for our Father in Heaven and our savior Jesus Christ. With out them there would be no reason for living, and no reason to keep working to progress in life. I am so thankful that if I am ever in doubt about anything, I can get on my knees and our Father in Heaven is always there. Thanks to all of you who have been my friends and offered your love and support. I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving as well!

I hate it...but I LOVE it!

I love everything about fall. The perfect temperature for just a light jacket, fall leaves and all the pretty colors. There is only one things I HATE about it. It means winter is coming! But I'll try and ignore that fact for now. But I took some pictures of the leafs before they fell off all the tree's and I wanted to post them. They are so pretty! The first one is my favorite.

Deja Vu..Every day

My life feels like deja vu most of the time. Work in the morning, school at night, and only having 2 days to do everything I need to do before I start all over again on Monday. Halloween as come and gone, now Thanksgiving in a couple of weeks and then comes Christmas. My how the days just fly by. Tomorrow I will be starting my fifth week of school. I can't believe it has already been that long. So far I have learned how to do manicures, pedicures and this week we are learning nail wraps. Along with all of that, we are studying the anatomy chapter which I have a test on tomorrow. It really wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. While I was in high school I think I just didn't want to learn and never put in an effort, this time I am actually learning. Which is so nice, I feel smarter as the weeks go on! I still love school and am so happy that I choose to do it.

Steve and I got pictures done for our 1 year anniversary yesterday. We got them done by Just4funphoto. I haven't seen them yet, but I think they did a fabulous job. They should be done with them in 2 weeks, so once we get them back I will post some.

The Halloween Carnival for Lacie and Jake Bastow at Little Wonders Friday night turned out great! There were so many activities, and tons and tons of people that showed up! I was so happy that everything turned out the way it did! I really hope we raised enough to help out this cute little family. I didn't take pictures, but I'm sure someone did that I can get some from. My life stays pretty busy lately. So since work, school and Steve are about all that goes on in my life this is all I have to write right now. Hope all is well with you. XOXO

Well since work, school and Steve are all the consume my life these days this is all I have to write about.
